Dear Mr. Postman and Another Way to Help

You know how in this week's neighbor post I talked about how I'm hoping (aka desperately needing) a good week this week?
Well, after a trip out of town and a visit from Kristen, I'd say we are off to a mighty fine start.
And this time, Kristen's visit including a very special task to cross off of our to-do list.

We had Africa shirt orders to fill.

And after all the folding and stuffing and addressing we could take, we were done.

Please take a minute to imagine the looks we got from the people at the post office, Post Master included.
And, this is only a fraction of the total order, many of which are being hand-delivered locally.

But, if you are one of the people who ordered a shirt and is not 'local', be checking your mailbox. And when it arrives, please snap a pic. of you in your new shirt. We'd love to see them in their new homes! Send the pic. my way (mccallald@yahoo.com), including your state, first name, and blog address (if you have one), and get ready to see your pic. featured here very, very soon.

Moving on......

Although the t-shirt fundraiser was a HUGE success, Kristen is still lacking some serious dinero for her mission trip to work in an African orphanage this summer.
And in case you're wondering what you can do to help her get there and meet her goal, we have a plan.

See these super cute, super sporty bracelets?

On one side they say REMEMBER AFRICA,
and on the other side they say 1 PETER 4:10.

And if you'd like one of your very own, which I truly hope you do, you can make a minimum five dollar donation via the paypal button you find on my sidebar. We've already got them ready and waiting to be mailed to y*o*u. Just please be sure to include a mailing address when you make your donation. Easy peasy. And remember, should Kristen raise money over and above her expenses, she will donate that money directly to the orphanage where she will be working, so you can guarantee your donation will be very, very well spent.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, mailing all those shirts was no easy task, and it came with quite a price tag.  Please take a looksie at la receipt.

Just under ninety-two big ones.

Happy Tuesday, lovelies.

And don't forget, tomorrow is the last day to enter to win a fan-freakin-tastic new custom blog header from the oh-so-talented Kenzie.
