Feels (and tastes) Like Fall

Good morning.
And congrats to comment #13, DARA, for winning the Little Bow Teek giveaway.
Dara-- can you send me a message with your mailing info. so I can get to the seller?
THANK YOU!

So, fall is HERE!
 Did you know?
I am so thankful that it is finally cool enough to pull out the jackets and sweaters and scarves.
You know how some people hoard shoes or purses?
Well I hoard jackets. And I love them.
And I would wear one every. single. day. if the weather would just  cooperate.

N-E-Way, seeing as Halloween is over, the bat garland has found  a nice resting place in the top of Libby's closet 'til next October, and my poor little mantel was just pitiful.
So, I whipped up this little ditty:

In case it's hard to tell, it says GIVE THANKS. Libby was very upset by this because she thought I'd messed up and meant to say THANKSGIVING. Silly rabbit.  Oh, and I found those fun leaves on the dollar aisle at Target. I'm trying to figure out how I want to use the rest of them....hmmmmmm.....

Oh, and I have a little treat for you today. I don't often share recipes because they aren't my own and there are so many recipe sites out there, but I LOVE this one and think you might too. Seriously, I could eat it at least once a week and be happy. It's  called Nacho Chicken Chowder, and it is fab-u-lous. Want to know the best part???? Well, not only does it only have five ingredients, but it's a CROCKPOT meal! Hello, crockpot. I love you. Thanks for making my afternoons with two kiddos more manageable.

Are you interested yet? Ok, here's what you'll need:

1. a can of corn (yellow or white, whichever you prefer or have on hand)
2. two cans of diced tomatoes- I like mine petite
3. a can of Fiesta Nacho Cheese soup
4. one large or two smaller chicken breasts
5. nacho chips....Fritos would work too

Put those in the crockpot on low for about two hours and high for about two hours (basically just cook it until the chicken is done and shredabe), and enjoy the heck out of it!

If you try it, let me know what you think.

Oh, and be sure to stop by tomorrow...I have another super cute giveaway in store for one of you. :) :) :)

  1. I made this recipe you shared for the Nacho Chicken Chowder this past weekend. SUPER easy and tasty too! I added a little cumin and it was delicious. I served it with spanish rice.
Then this week I used the leftovers by adding it to spinach - made a tasty salad!
    THANKS McCall!
